I can’t say I have an excuse for not blogging; but it has been hectic throughout the last year and the beginning of this year so far.
Unfortunately, I have been dealing with some personal things and issues that have kind of kept me down and out from where I would like to be as work and school have been draining due to these problems, so I haven’t really been able to focus on my books as much as I would like; but, hopefully things will be turning around this year. On another note, my family and I had a wonderful holiday season and enjoyed the time we got to spend with each other. Our kitties are doing great and my birds are as noisy as ever.
We recently had a few days of snow and ice down here in the south and Cruiz got to experience it firsthand. I can’t say he was too excited but he toughed it out. (See pictures below). As for Muffin, she’s an older girl and enjoys her days curled up on my bed sleeping in the sun so she didn’t brave the cold and I can’t say I blame her. We are currently looking for a third Siamese kitten but haven’t had much luck, so if you know of any that need adopting feel free to send me a message through the contact page. 🙂
He did fantastic although I don’t believe he was thrilled. Once back inside he was happier. I can’t say I blame him. 🙂 It was a little cold for his thick fur for the few seconds it took to snap these pictures on our back porch. So not an outside kitty. 🙂
Okay … enough about kitty cats and back to reality. I recently have read a few new books including Snitch and Street Pharm by Allison van Diepen. In my opinion, both books were great and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. I have also recently read The Maze Runner, by James Dashner, and the other books in the series as well. They were all excellent reads and well written with fun characters and fantastic plot line. I didn’t expect the ending in the third book, The Death Cure, at all and I can honestly say the whole series was thoroughly entertaining. I can’t wait to see the movies as they come out.
Now, down to business; in my last blog way back in February of 2014 I mentioned that I was working on my sequel to Nothing More, Nothing Less and that I had finished a manuscript to another novel I was working on. Well, that excerpt I promised… it’s going to have to wait a bit longer because I’m going to be making a few changes. I will eventually give an excerpt for reading entertainment, but I don’t want to rush so please be patient. It will be worth it. I don’t have a title for it yet as I’m hoping it will be the beginning of a series, but I guess time will tell. Until next time, keep reading and enjoy spring because it’s finally on its way.
